What Chantelle offers your organization
Every dispute is different. The right process depends on the matter, the relationship between the parties, and the outcome you need. Chantelle conducts each engagement herself, with professionalism, efficiency, and impartiality.
Arbitration & Adjudication
A final, binding, well-reasoned decision.
When parties need a final, binding decision, Chantelle delivers authoritative and well-reasoned awards grounded in a deep command of labour, employment, and health law.
Her career as a litigator, appearing before the Labour Relations Board, Provincial Court, the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada, means she understands dispute resolution from every angle. She currently serves as a part-time Vice-Chair of the Labour Relations Board of Newfoundland and Labrador, acting as a neutral adjudicator and mediator across a broad spectrum of labour and employment matters.
Whether the matter involves a grievance, a termination, a jurisdictional question, or a complex labour relations issue, Chantelle manages proceedings with professionalism, efficiency, and impartiality.
Mediation
Resolution that is better, faster, and for less.
Litigation is expensive. Uncertainty is costly. Chantelle's mediation practice is built on a simple proposition: most disputes can be resolved, better, faster, and for less, when the right neutral is in the room.
With internationally recognized mediation credentials and extensive experience facilitating resolution in contentious labour, employment, and workplace matters, Chantelle brings structure, creativity, and candour to the mediation table.
She works with both counsel and parties directly, and can engage at any stage of a dispute: before proceedings are filed, mid-litigation, or on the eve of hearing.
Independent Workplace Investigations
Findings that withstand scrutiny.
When a complaint of harassment, discrimination, workplace misconduct, or policy violation arises, organizations need an investigator who is independent, thorough, and procedurally rigorous, someone whose findings will withstand scrutiny.
Chantelle holds an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Investigations from Osgoode Hall Law School and brings to every investigation the analytical discipline of a seasoned litigator and the discretion of a former senior public servant.
She conducts investigations that are fair to all parties, defensible in any forum, and supported by clear, well-organized written reports.
Workplace Assessments
An objective read on workplace culture and dynamics.
Beyond formal investigations, organizations sometimes need an objective, expert assessment of workplace culture, dynamics, or specific concerns, without the formality of an investigative process.
Chantelle conducts confidential workplace assessments that help leadership understand what is happening on the ground and take informed, proactive steps.
